Well tonight was the first game of the season and I can already tell that I'm going to be paying for two years of barely any physical activity.
On one hand I did far better than I expected but on the other hand I stunk up the joint in the field. Usually in lob ball I am lacking in the batting but I'm great inthe field. Today though I was 2/3 with a triple single and deep fly out but muffed two easy plays in the field.
The triple was my classic opposite field hit but surprisingly the single was a hot shot to left that the fielder just happened to be in the right spot for.
The fielding though was more annoying. Missed am easy ground ball and then threw the ball away when playing third on an easy out
Only the first game though so plenty of time to improve but I still dislike doing worse than I know I can even in my first game in two years.
Next game is next Thursday at the same time same place.
